Renegade Guard Hydra 01

A work in progress Hydra for my Khorne Berzerker allies. I have yet to build the destroyer/dozer blades for the front. It was originally part of my Imperial Guard army until I decided to loot it for my Ork army. When I got into playing Chaos Marines with themed lists, allies were available in the 6th ed rulebook. So I decided to build a renegade guard force to balance out the lack of ranged weapons for my Khorne Berzerker army.

One day I randomly drew a renegade guard hydra dedicated to Khorne and liked the design that much that I decided to build one for my renegades using the unpainted converted chimera as the base. I devised a story to go with the unique history of the model itself: An Ork warband krumped a Guard army and looted their vehicles. A scouting force from the Ork warband encountered a renegade guard army and got krumped themselves. The renegades looted the looted wagon as it was the only vehicle that hadn't exploded.  Taking it back to their base they removed all the Orky bits and re-purposed it as an improvised Hydra by rigging four modified heavy bolter sponsons to the cab of a sentinel.
